Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 2026

Wisp works because people choose to be honest with each other. These guidelines exist to keep it a space worth showing up to.

The short version

  • Wisp is a space for honest, anonymous conversations. Be real. Be kind. Don't be cruel.
  • Anonymity is a privilege, not a shield. What you say still has consequences — for others, and for your account.

Be yourself, even anonymously

  • Share genuine thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Wisp is built for authenticity.
  • Don't create fake or misleading posts to manipulate how others feel or act.
  • Don't impersonate other users, public figures, or Wisp staff.

Respect others

  • No harassment, hate speech, or targeted bullying — anonymous or otherwise.
  • Don't post content that attacks someone based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • No threats of violence or content that promotes self-harm.
  • Disagreeing is fine. Being cruel is not.

Keep it safe

  • No sexual content involving minors, ever. Violations will be reported to the relevant authorities.
  • No graphic violence or gore.
  • No content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. If you're struggling, reach out — to us, to someone you trust, or to a professional.

No spam or manipulation

  • Don't flood feeds, DMs, or comment sections with repetitive or irrelevant content.
  • Don't use bots, scripts, or coordinated accounts to artificially boost posts or manufacture engagement.
  • Don't share referral spam, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited commercial offers.

Protect privacy

  • Don't share someone else's personal information without their consent — including name, address, phone number, or photos.
  • Don't attempt to unmask or identify anonymous users.
  • Don't screenshot and share private DM conversations outside Wisp without the other person's agreement.

Legal content only

  • Don't post content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Don't share content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdictions of people you're interacting with.
  • Don't use Wisp to coordinate or facilitate illegal activity.

How we enforce these guidelines

  • We review reports from users and act on violations. Consequences range from content removal to temporary suspension to permanent account termination, depending on severity and history.
  • For serious violations — such as content involving minors, credible threats, or activity requiring legal action — we will cooperate with law enforcement as required.
  • Decisions about enforcement are made by our team and are final, though you can always reach us at hello@veridianstudio.in if you believe an action was taken in error.

Reporting

  • Use the in-app report button on any post, comment, or message to flag content that violates these guidelines.
  • For urgent safety concerns, email us directly at hello@veridianstudio.in.
  • False or bad-faith reports may result in action against the reporting account.

A note on mental health

  • Wisp is meant to be a place where people feel safe being honest. If you're going through something difficult, you're not alone.
  • If you see someone in distress, be kind. A small gesture of warmth can matter more than you know.
  • If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out to a local mental health helpline or emergency services.
