Child Safety Standards
Last updated: May 2026
Wisp has zero tolerance for content that harms or exploits children. This page describes our standards, what we prohibit, and how we respond to violations.
Our commitment
- Wisp has zero tolerance for content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers minors in any form. This is absolute and non-negotiable.
- We are committed to complying with all applicable child safety laws, including India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), the Information Technology Act, and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules.
- We actively work to prevent our platform from being used to produce, distribute, or facilitate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material.
Prohibited content
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — any image, video, text, or other content that sexually depicts or exploits a minor — is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
- Content that grooms, solicits, or attempts to lure minors into sexual conversations or encounters is prohibited.
- Content that glorifies, normalises, or promotes sexual activity involving minors in any way is prohibited.
- Sharing personal information about a minor (name, location, school, photographs) in any context that could expose them to harm is prohibited.
Age requirements
- Wisp is intended for users aged 18 and above. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
- If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and remove their content.
- If you believe a minor is using Wisp, please report it immediately via the in-app report function or by emailing us at hello@veridianstudio.in.
Reporting in the app
- Every post and profile on Wisp has a Report button. Use it to flag any content that you believe violates our child safety standards.
- Reports related to child safety are treated with the highest priority and reviewed immediately.
- You can also report urgent child safety concerns directly to us at hello@veridianstudio.in.
How we respond
- When we receive a report of potential CSAM or CSAE, we immediately remove the content and suspend the account pending investigation.
- We report confirmed CSAM to the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to India's Cyber Crime reporting portal (cybercrime.gov.in) as required by law.
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies in India and internationally when child safety is at risk, including providing account information as required by legal process.
- We do not warn users when their account has been reported for child safety violations, to prevent evidence destruction.
Our safeguards
- Anonymous accounts do not protect users from accountability for child safety violations. We retain logs sufficient to respond to law enforcement requests.
- We use automated and human moderation to detect and remove prohibited content.
- Our content policies and moderation processes are reviewed and updated regularly to address evolving threats.
